The AC12A2 Converter Module accepts AC or DC input and delivers a true filtered and stable 12 VDC and offers up to 1500mA of current draw. It offers a cost effective solution for powering many of our LED products from 12V AC transformers. It also accepts DC voltages from 15 to 17 VDC. Most 5mm LED products require a true 12.0VDC regulated power supply and therefore these unstable voltages WILL DAMAGE the leds and cause failure.
The AC12A2 offers an input voltage range of 12V to 13V AC or 15 to 17V DC allowing its use with a wide variety of applications and products. Its 20 Watt capability (1500mA) can drive many LED fixtures together at the same time efficiently, effectively and dependably.
The AC12A2 is a full wave with suppression circuitry allows a 15 amp surge for 1.4 seconds. It is then filtered, regulated and filtered again for noise and rippple leaving a clean and stable DC environment for LED use. This product is intended for LED use only.
The AC12A2 circuitry and mounting brackets are embedded in a highly insulative epoxy based resin. Module diameter is 1.50" x .650" H. Mounting hole template is 2.31" O/C. Color coded 6" wire leads makes install simple, red/black input form power source and white/black output to LED fixtures. Connects between power source and LED fixtures.
