The RG12A2 Inline Regulator delivers a true filtered and stable 12 VDC and offers up to 2500mA of current draw. It offers a cost effective solution for powering many of our LED products from higher DC voltages such as marine, automotive, recreational and power sports vehicles, solar products, lead acid 12V batteries and class2 type transformers (AC to DC Adapters) which all produce unstable voltages from 13.5 to 17 volts DC. Most 5mm LED products require a true 12.0VDC regulated power supply and therefore these unstable voltages WILL DAMAGE the leds and cause failure.
The RG12A2 offers an input voltage range of 13.6 to 17.5V DC allowing its use with a wide variety of applications and products. Its 24 Watt capability (2300mA) can drive many LED fixtures together at the same time efficiently, effectively and dependably. This product is recommended for auto/marine use.
The RG12A2 suppression circuitry allows a 15 amp surge for 1.4 seconds. It is then filtered, regulated and filtered again for noise and rippple leaving a clean and stable DC environment for LED use. This product is intended for LED use only.
The RG12A2 circuitry and mounting brackets are embedded in a highly insulative epoxy based resin. Module diameter is 1.50" x .650" H. Mounting hole template is 2.31" O/C. Color coded 6" wire leads makes install simple, red/black input form power source and white/black output to LED fixtures.
